brown hat

i made a cute hat. it's a simple rib with some stripes.

it was made with acrylic yarn on size 7 needles. i cast on 88 st and knit in a 2x2 rib.

the rows are as follows:
20 brown
4 grey
6 brown
4 grey
6 brown
4 blue
6 brown
4 grey
6 brown*
4 grey
4 brown

decreases as follows, beginning with *'d row: row 1: k2tog, p2, k2, p2
row 2: k1, p2, k2, p2
row 3: k2tog, p1, k2, p2
row 4: k1, p1, k2, p2
row 5: k2tog, k2, p2
row 6: k3, p2
[switch to grey]
row 7: k2tog, k1, p2
row 8: k2, p2
row 9: k2tog, p2
row 10: k1, p2
[switch to brown]
row 11: k2tog, p1
row 12: k1, p1
row 13: k2tog
row 14: k all

this leaves you with 11 stitches. use a tapestry needle to draw tail through open stitches, tighten, and tie.
